CHICAGO — Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s JdV by Hyatt brand has officially entered Canada with The Anndore House’s joining of the brand on April 1.

The Toronto hotel features decor and amenities reflective of its vibrant Toronto neighborhood. The 115-room boutique hotel currently offers two food and beverage outlets owned by the Mercatto Group and led by chef Craig Harding. Crows Nest Barbershop also has a location on site and its team expects to open the first Crows Nest Café later this year.

The Walper Hotel in Kitchener, Ont. is also expected to join the JdV by Hyatt brand in May.

Formerly known as Joie de Vivre, JdV by Hyatt hotels currently has 14 properties across the U.S. and China. The collection brand’s entry into Canada is part of a larger international-expansion effort that also expects to see three hotels in Sweden join the brand in 2021.
