TORONTO — The team at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto showed their holiday spirit last week when it raised more than $4,600 for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto through food sales at the employee cafeteria, bake sales, a spa day for associates and raffle from the hotel’s holiday celebration.

After learning that teen patients are typically forgotten when organizing donations and gift exchanges during this time of the year, they made a goal to raise $2,100, which they more than doubled. The Sheraton team, which included Trevor Bracher, director of Human Resources, Catherine Velie, GM, Oscar Inzunza, executive meeting specialist, Jaime Valenciano, engineer manager and Elwira Nowak, HR coordinator, presented a cheque for $4,678.10 to the hospital.
