TORONTO — Sandman Hotel Group is gearing up to open the doors of its latest Sandman Signature hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland. The 218-room hotel will be under the ownership of Northland Properties. The hotel will also include conference facilities and an on-site Chop Grill & Bar restaurant. Murray Todd joins the SHG team as general manager after leaving the Holiday Inn Express in Aberdeen, where he worked for 15 years. Patrick Mercer will be the general manager of the restaurant.

The Signature Aberdeen hotel will be Sandman’s third in the United Kingdom — joining the four-star properties in Gatwick and Newcastle. The company is already in the process of expanding further in the U.K.
