TORONTO — Roch Dog, a dog-friendly hotel certification and rating agency, has partnered with Pawsome Concierge, a Canadian provider of VIP canine concierge services. This collaboration aims to enhance pet-friendly hospitality by identifying hotels that need improvement and equipping them with expert training, consulting and premium services.
Under this partnership, Roch Dog will analyze and share hotel performance data with Pawsome Concierge, flagging properties that score lowest in key areas such as pet policies, amenities, services and staff readiness. Pawsome Concierge will provide targeted solutions, including operational consulting, specialized staff training and premium dog services.
“The words pet-friendly don’t necessarily mean that a hotel welcomes dogs or provides genuine hospitality to dog owners,” says Guise Bule, CEO of Roch. “Our certification and ranking process highlights which hotels are failing to deliver on the promise of pet-friendly, and through our partnership with Pawsome Concierge, we’re giving them the tools to improve, helping move the hotel industry beyond pet-friendly tolerance and towards true canine hospitality.”
Pawsome Concierge’s team works hands-on with under-performing hotels, offering tailored training in canine behaviour, emergency protocols and guest service for dog-owning travellers. Additionally, participating hotels will gain access to VIP services such as on-demand dog walking, pet-sitting and exclusive in-room pet amenities.
