MONTREAL — The Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal has been temporarily closed as multi-million dollar renovations get underway.

“The Residence Inn Montreal Downtown has long distinguished itself by offering extended-stay guests many of the comforts of home. Once our extensive renovations are complete, we will further leverage these benefits by continuing to offer spacious rooms that have been completely refurbished [to include] modern decor, new upscale kitchen appliances, luxurious mattresses and new windows offering more natural lighting and noise reduction,” said Scott Allison, VP of Canadian Operations for Marriott Hotels of Canada.

The renovations will revitalize the hotel’s guestrooms and public spaces. It will also include a redesign and replacement of the building’s façade. In addition to the revitalized public space, the renovations will include the addition of two floors to accommodate 20 new guestrooms, for a total of 210 rooms.

A soft reopening is scheduled for January.
