EDMONTON — The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Conference Centre Edmonton South in the city’s business district.
“We are very excited to be opening this new Holiday Inn,” said Steve White, GM of the conference centre. “We have invested $4.2 million in this property with the goal of providing visitors in the area with a hotel that is convenient while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere with all the latest in comfort.”
As part of the $1-billion Holiday Inn global-brand relaunch announced in 2007, the hotel showcases updated elements, including its redesigned logo and signage. The 224-room hotel features an on-site fitness centre, a pool and hot tub and 7,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel rooms offer in-room work desks with ergonomic chairs and data ports with complimentary wireless Internet.
