MINNETONKA, Minn. — Radisson Hotel Group has confirmed a data breach that exposed the personal details of Radisson Reward members on October 1.

According to Radisson’s website, the incident did not compromise any credit card or password information, however, an investigation by the hotel group determined that the information accessed was restricted to member name, address (including country of residence) and email address. In some cases, company name, phone number, Radisson Rewards-member number and any frequent-flyer numbers were hacked.

“Upon identifying this issue, Radisson Rewards immediately revoked access to the unauthorized person(s). All impacted member accounts have been secured and flagged to monitor for any potential unauthorized behaviour,” according to Radisson’s website.

The hotel chain says it identified the hack — which occurred on September 11 — on October 1. However, they did not inform Radisson Rewards members until October 30, according to HospitalityNet.org.
