SURREY, B.C. — PHI Hotel Group has opened three Marriott-branded hotels in Alberta — Westin Calgary Airport Hotel and Conference Centre and the dual-branded Four Points Edmonton West and Element Edmonton West in Edmonton. All three properties are owned by PHI Hotel Group and Siksika Resource Development Ltd. and managed by PHI Hotel Group.

“This strategic partnership brings three distinct brands to the Alberta market, including the first Element to open in Edmonton,” says Sukhi Rai, president of PHI Hotel Group. “The Westin Calgary Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, and particularly the capacity of the meeting space, will fill a gap in the Calgary airport area, better serving the meeting and convention segment.”

The 247-room Westin Calgary Airport Hotel and Conference Centre features 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, including a more than 16,000-sq.-ft. ballroom. The hotel also features an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool spa, a state-of-the-art Westin Workout studio and the 671 Kitchen & Bar.

The dual-branded Edmonton property features the 142-room Four Points Edmonton West and 77-room Element Edmonton West. The four-storey property shares an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, multipurpose public spaces and two meeting rooms with 3,347 sq. ft. of space.

Element Edmonton West offers open-flow guestrooms and suites with fully equipped kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms and oversized closets. It also offers complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast, as well as Element’s Bikes-to-Borrow program.

Four Points Edmonton West offers a casual, relaxed ambiance, spacious guestrooms, a business centre and the brand’s signature Best Brews program, which features local craft beers and a seasonal barbecue-style appetizer.
