Paradox Hotel

VANCOUVER — The Paradox Hotel, formerly Trump International Hotel, in downtown Vancouver has been named the Best Urban Hotel by the Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards.

Before converting to the Paradox Hotel, Forbes rated the tower one of the most anticipated hotel openings, with renowned architect Arthur Erickson hailed for its design. The 147-room Paradox Hotel, located at the tower’s bottom 15 floors on West Georgia St., has only been open a few months but is already gaining recognition in the luxury-hotel world.

Established in 2014, The Haute Grandeur Global Hotel Awards provide many awards in different categories for luxury accommodation, such as the best eco-friendly resort, wedding retreat, and bush lodge. Winners are determined through guest ratings and feedback, staff, and industry experts. Only hotels registered with the organization are eligible to win.

The Paradox hotel brand also launched other locations in Phuket, Singapore and Whistler earlier this year.
