WINNIPEG — The Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport, located on Long Plain First Nation, is slated to open on October 5. Originally scheduled to open on August 4, the grand opening event was rescheduled due to global supply-chain delays. However, the hotel plans to welcome guests starting August 17 as part of a soft opening.

The full-service hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and operated by Winnipeg-based Sparrow Hotels. It features 132 guestrooms, a pool and waterslide, a fitness centre, 5,800-sq.-ft. of flexible meeting space, a dining-room, a café and 230 parking stalls.

“We’re excited to work with Long Plain First Nation and Wyndham Hotels to bring another Winnipeg landmark to life,” says Ben Sparrow, CEO of Sparrow Hotels.
