HALIFAX — Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of a new hotel in Halifax — The Hollis Halifax, A DoubleTree Suites by Hilton.
“We’re thrilled to add another hotel to the thriving Halifax community,” said Ian Carter, president, Global Development, Architecture and Design, Hilton Worldwide. “Hilton Worldwide is committed to growing our portfolio in Canada and our strong pipeline is representative of the country’s prospering travel and tourism sector.”
The 10-storey hotel will be owned and operated by Magna Hotels, Inc. Centrally located in the heart of Halifax, The hotel is within walking distance of the city’s waterfront and downtown attractions. Each suite will offer complimentary Wi-Fi, HDTV, a wet bar, a microwave and a mini-refrigerator. The hotel will feature an indoor heated pool, whirlpool, fitness centre, business centre and complimentary Internet access.
The 120-room hotel, formerly a Radisson Suite Hotel, is undergoing a renovation that is expected to be completed by September. DoubleTree by Hilton operates 380 hotels worldwide, with six hotels in Canada.
