WHISTLER, B.C. — Celebrating the beauty of its natural surroundings, the Nita Lake Lodge has introduced a new program featuring local art inspired by Whistler’s environs.

The lodge, located at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, will integrate artwork by established and emerging artists from the local area into the property’s public spaces.

“The architecture of the lodge fit perfectly into the setting and the landscape of forests, lakes and mountains. Having [artists’] work on the walls of the lodge is a wonderful opportunity. The art and architecture truly complement each other,” said Penny Eder, an artist and Whistler resident.

Seven pieces, some of which are one-of-a-kind works, have been placed throughout the lodge. The artwork will rotate throughout the property, providing guests with a fresh experience each time they visit.

Local artists involved with the art program include Jennifer Zizman, Karna Bonwick and Brian Buckrell.
