QUEBEC CITY — Robert Mercure has been appointed to the Canadian Tourism Commission’s (CTC) Board of Directors.

Mercure brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to the CTC, including his current position as GM at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Previously he was the director of Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto and hotel manager at the Fairmont Monte Carlo in France and at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. In his new role, Mercure will assist in defining the strategic direction of the CTC.

“I am extremely pleased to join the Board of Directors of the CTC,” said Mercure. “It is an exciting challenge to be able to contribute to the strategic decisions of the CTC in such an important time for our industry.”
