CALGARY — The team at MasterBuilt Hotels/Superior Lodging Corp., along with industry sponsors, hosted the first-ever VIP Night at the Races, inviting 40 members of the industry to hobnob with NASCAR drivers at the Edmonton International Speedway and take a few laps around the track inside the sponsored cars.
“It was a great first-time event with plenty of fun enjoyed trackside. We look forward to building it into a larger industry event next year where we can have even more participants from the family of hotels represented under the Superior Lodging Corp. and MasterBuilt Hotels portfolio,” said Jason Cheskes, president of Above The Line Solutions, who helped organize the event.
Hoteliers and industry suppliers met with NASCAR driver Ashley Halsey, winner of the NASCAR provincial rookie of the year award in 2014, and Ryan Knowles, winner of the rookie of the year award in 2013.
