WASHINGTON, D.C. — Marriott International’s customer rewards program is partnering with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) to offer its members benefits which include commissions on qualified hotel bookings throughout its 19 brands. The partnership also allows CLIA agent members to benefit from Marriott’s Fam-tastic familiarization rates. CLIA agents who complete Marriott’s Hotel Excellence training program and who become Marriott-certified hotel sales specialists will qualify.

“Our partnership with CLIA underscores Marriott’s commitment to supporting and working with current and future generations of travel professionals,” says Brian King, global officer, Marriott signature brands and global sales.

“At CLIA, we are always looking for new opportunities to enhance our travel-agent member experience and this partnership will bring immeasurable value to our community,” says Cindy D’Aoust, president and CEO, CLIA. “This new venture positively impacts the travel industry and further supports the important role travel professionals play.”

The new reward programs are similar to other hotel and travel industry partnerships Marriott has launched in the past, including its double commission guarantee and intermediary partner care team ventures.
