MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Manga Hotels is the winner of the 2017 Hilton Owner award for the Canadian Conversion Developer of the Year. The company won the award for two recent conversion projects in Toronto and Halifax — both of which are now under the Doubletree brand.

“We are both humbled and excited to receive this award,” says Sukhdev Toor, president of Manga Hotels. “The recent conversions to the Doubletree Toronto Airport and Doubletree Dartmouth Halifax has allowed us to re-position the property, allowing us to create synergy between our Hilton hotels in Canada and the United States.”

During its annual Development Awards ceremony, Hilton also announced a new “Top Performer” category to celebrate excellence in guest experience and business performance.

The Development Awards recognize the innovation and creativity of Hilton developers. Winners were selected by the Hilton Development team based on community impact and commitment to overall quality.
