TORONTO — Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has made a series of management changes at properties in Canada and other markets.

Michael A. Ganster is the new GM of the Fairmont Beijing. Ganster moves to Beijing from his most recent GM post in Pattaya, Thailand.

Chris Stampe has been named regional director, Sales and Marketing, Pacific Northwest Region. He’ll also fill the position of director, Sales and Marketing, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver — where another management change sees Trevor Cool take assume the role of director of F&B.

Ken Hall is the new manager of the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. During his lengthy career,
Hall has worked around the world, including Jasper Park, Alta. to Fujiya, Japan.

Uwe Walter is the new director of Sales and Marketing at the Jasper Park Lodge. Walter got his hospitality start in Berlin with a hotel management apprenticeship. 

James Bevans has been appointed to manage the day-to-day operations of  the soon-to-open Fairmont Makati, Philippines.

The Fairmont San Francisco has appointed a former Royal York employee as hotel manager.  Matthew Blackmore is now heading the hotel after moving through progressive roles within Fairmont.

Brian A. Calder — who started more than 10 years ago The Fairmont Chateau, Lake Louise — is now director of Sales and Marketing, Fairmont Pittsburgh.

Lino Rodrigues has been named director of F&B at the Fairmont Washington, D.C,  Over a career that spans 25 years, Rodrigues has worked at luxury hotels from Toronto to Dublin.
