MONTREAL — Loto-Québec has chosen Germain Hotels to manage the hotel to be built near the Casino de Montréal. Following a thorough request-for-proposals process, Germain Hotels emerged as the hotel project’s ideal partner with its Le Germain Hotels brand.
Loto-Québec will be the sole owner of the roughly 200-room hotel, and all its profits will be re-invested back into Quebec.
“We’re very proud to join forces with Germain Hotels, a local family business that is, like us, passionate about customer service. Loto-Québec looks forward to building a premium hotel, an icon for the city, at the heart of beautiful Parc Jean-Drapeau. The hotel will make the Casino de Montréal a more complete and appealing entertainment destination. We can’t wait to welcome the first customers,” says Jean-François Bergeron, president and CEO at Loto-Québec.
“We’re very proud to work on this project with Loto-Québec, known for its entertainment and customer service know-how. We couldn’t dream of a better location to offer accommodation options, next to the Casino de Montréal and close to where some of the biggest events in the city are held. We’re very proud to lend our name and standards to this hotel,” says Hugo and Marie Pier Germain, VP, Operations and VP, Sales and Marketing, respectively, at Germain Hotels.
Construction will begin once all plans are finalized and approved by the relevant bodies. The hotel should welcome its first clients within two to three years. The property will join the Hilton Lac-Leamy and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in Loto-Québec’s real-estate portfolio.
