NEW YORK — The Trump Soho New York has welcomed Koi Group to the hotel and is now offering Koi’s innovative twist on Japanese cuisine, with a new restaurant that marks the company’s fifth location worldwide.

“I couldn’t be more delighted to partner with Trump SoHo to open our second property in Manhattan,” said Nick Haque, CEO of Koi Group. “As we continue to grow our brand, we want to make sure each endeavour uniquely represents who we are.”

The menu at Koi’s Trump Soho New York location is created by executive chef Robb Lucas who cooks the brand’s signature Japanese dishes infused with Californian accents. Standouts include Grilled Salmon with Honey Balsamic Glaze, Tomato Jam and Scallion Ginger Sauce ($26) and Roasted Shishito Peppers Stuffed with Shrimp ($16).

The 4,291-sq.-ft. restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows, hand-blown glass chandeliers and wooded columns with vertical garden accents; a spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine and private dining rooms.

Koi Group’s flagship resto, Koi Los Angeles, has been a staple in L.A. since opening in 2002. Haque has transformed the success of Koi Los Angeles into a worldwide brand through expansions into New York, Bangkok and Las Vegas.
