MONTREAL — Julie Brisebois is set to take the helm as GM of the new Alt Hotel Ottawa, opening this spring, while Marie Pier Germain is the new GM of the Alt Hotel Montreal.
“We are pleased to have the competence and experience of Julie and Marie Pier as they take the helm of these two properties,” says Christiane Germain, co-president of Groupe Germain. “Having excellent customer service at heart, we are confident that they will know how to infuse the company’s values in order to offer a unique experience to our guests.”
Brisebois joined the hospitality industry in 2004 at Le Germain Hotel Montreal. She moved on to oversee operations at the company before becoming GM of the Alt Hotel Dix30 in Brossard, Que., and recently the Alt Hotel Montreal.
Marie Pier Germain joined the family business in 2006 after graduating from Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She then went on to manage Groupe Germain’s team of architects, designers and engineers while overseeing the construction and renovation of the group’s hotels. More recently she was the director of Operations at the Alt Hotel Montreal and achieved her EMBA from McGill-HEC Montreal.
