TORONTO — William (Bill) Pallett passed away on December 27.

The Mississauga, Ont. native was a graduate of the Ryerson School of Journalism and began his career in the Hospitality Industry with Wardair (now part of Air Canada), taking subsequent positions with Canadian Pacific Hotels (now Fairmont), Four Seasons and Delta Hotels and Resorts. He had an illustrious 25-year career with Delta as the company’s senior vice-president, People Resources and is recognized as the architect of Delta’s highly engaged culture, which garnered the company several accolades.

In 2015, when Marriott acquired Delta, Pallett started his consulting company WJP and Associates.

A sought-after speaker/lecturer, Pallett also taught Business Administration and Human Resources Management subjects at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver and Ryerson University in Toronto.

During his career, Pallett dedicated countless hours to several organizations near and dear to his heart, including the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Mount Sinai Health System in Patient Care and Tourism HR Canada.
