ATLANTA — IHG Hotels & Resorts is offering a series of 2021 Hotel Development Symposiums, which will focus on the company’s luxury, lifestyle and premium brands; insights into IHG’s growth strategy; and provide opportunities for Q&A and discussion.
These virtual events build on the virtual development symposiums the company offered in 2020 in response to travel restrictions created by the pandemic.
“Working closely with our owners, we moved quickly in 2020 to adapt to a challenging environment and continued to sign, build or renovate and open hotels across our brands in the Americas,” says Julienne Smith, SVP, Development, Luxury & Upscale, Americas, IHG. “In this environment, many of our owners are re-evaluating their portfolios and considering new investments and properties that have the potential to perform strongly in the future. We’ve received great feedback from owners on the effectiveness of virtual symposiums and look forward to a series of engaging events this year.”
This year’s Hotel Development Symposiums include:
• Hotel indigo — January 28, 1 p.m. EST
• voco Hotels — February 25, 1 p.m. EST
• Regent Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts — March 15 (time TBD)
• EVEN Hotels — April 19 (time TBD)
• Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts — TBD (Q2 2021)
