TORONTO — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the new-build 79-room Holiday Inn Express Red Deer North in Alberta. Located off Highway 2, and close to golf courses, Sylvan Lake, a ski-and-snowboard resort and shopping centre, this hotel is expected to become a top choice for leisure, sport and business travellers in the Red Deer area.
The hotel boasts an indoor pool, hot tub, 24-hour fitness center and 24-hour business center. Guestrooms feature contemporary styling, one king-sized or two queen-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine featuring complimentary Smart Roast 100-per-cent Arabica coffee. The property features the brand’s newest design solution — modern rooms and suites, complete with Keurig brewers, microwave oven, mini fridge, kettle, work desk and free Wi-Fi.
The complimentary Express Start breakfast bar offers a full range of breakfast items, including a variety of healthy options as well as a rotation of egg and meat selections, biscuits, fruit, the brand’s cinnamon roll and Smart Roast coffee.
Holiday Inn Express Red Deer North features more than 1,400 sq. ft. of meetings space and can accommodate groups of 70 people. The hotel will transform into a dual-branded property when the connecting Staybridge Suites opens in 2019.
