ATLANTA — Hotel companies across the globe are recognizing the importance of guest loyalty programs, and the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has introduced a new top-tier loyalty level called Spire Elite.

The Spire Elite status hones in on the customer subset who want to feel like they’re part of a special club. They also want hotel employees to remember their individual preferences during their stays.

“The feeling that you’re recognized for being special is what IHG Rewards Club aims to deliver with the launch of Spire Elite. It’s our way of saying thank you to our most loyal members, who from today will benefit from ability to earn 100 per cent extra bonus points on all qualifying stays across the IHG hotel portfolio — an industry first,” says Susanna Freer Epstein, SVP Customer Loyalty at IHG.

Members can earn the Spire Elite status by booking 75 qualifying nights at an IHG property during the calendar year or by collecting 75,000 reward points.
