Hotel companies south of the border are diversifying their beverage offerings to appeal to the healthy consumer through new juicing programs, reports USA Today.

Companies such as the Four Seasons Orlando in Orlando, Fla., are rolling out a made-to-order smoothie bar, offering juices made with leafy greens, celery and pears. Meanwhile, the Fairmont Washington, D.C., offers a Strawberry Shrub shot, made of strawberries, parsley and apple cider vinegar.

“Travel can be extremely taxing on the body and can really throw a wrench in your fitness routine and diet habits,” said Frank Kawecki, director of Restaurant Operations for the San Francisco, Calif.-based Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, which launched a fresh juice menu at 10 properties in the U.S. “Introducing the juicing menu is another way to help our guests feel good and stay on track while staying with us.” [usatoday.com]
