HALIFAX — Holloway Lodging has re-opened the DoubleTree by Hilton in London, Ont. and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa East following extensive renovations.

“The opening of our new DoubleTree by Hilton and Holiday Inn Ottawa East is a significant milestone for Holloway. These hotels represent 14 per cent of our total rooms and are located in attractive markets with strong business drivers,” says Michael Rapps, chairman of Halifax-based Holloway Lodging. “We anticipate that the financial performance of each of these hotels will materially exceed their performance prior to the renovations and rebrandings.”

The 323-room DoubleTree by Hilton, formerly a Hilton, received upgrades to its public spaces, guestrooms and food-and-beverage outlets and added a new Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel also features more than 30,000-sq.-ft. of meeting and banquet space.

Rebranded from the Chimo Hotel, the 261-room Holiday Inn Ottawa East has refreshed public spaces, guestrooms, restaurant, pool and fitness facilities. It also features 8,500-sq.-ft. of meeting and banquet space, with an on-site restaurant, Reza’s Kitchen & Drinks.
