HALIFAX — Holloway Lodging Corp. has acquired an additional 35-per-cent interest in the Super 8 hotel in St. John’s, N.L for $2.1 million. The company previously owned 18-per-cent of the property, so it now owns a controlling interest or 53 per cent of the hotel.
The Super 8 St. John’s was built in 2005 and has 81 guestrooms, a meeting room and a fitness centre. Holloway is considering acquiring the remaining interests in the future.
Holloway Lodging owns 36 hotels with 4,260 rooms across Canada and the U.S. under the banners of Super 8 and Travelodge, among others.
