ST. JOHN’S — The brand-new Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. John’s International Airport hotel has opened its doors, taking inspiration from the seaside city for its interior design.
The hotel is owned by MP Limited Partnership and managed by Urgo Hotels Canada. “We are delighted to continue to expand the growing network of Holiday Inn Express hotels in Canada’s north east coast and are especially pleased to have Greg Ivany leading the hotel opening,” says Serge Primeau, VP of Operations and Development at Urgo Hotels Canada. “It is especially rewarding to see this project come to fruition,” Primeau continues, “and offer guests the first hotel located directly at the airport in St. John’s — one that highlights the work of exceptional local artists.”
The 120-room hotel features custom artwork in each guestroom by St. John’s-born artist James Miller, as well as Smart TVs, pre-loaded with apps such as Netflix, Facebook and Youtube. Other offerings include 1,800-sq.-ft. of meeting space, an indoor pool, fitness centre and business centre.
