TORONTO — Hockley Valley Resort, the Orangeville, Ont.-based hotel, ski, and golf resort, has named Corey Ladouceur director of Restaurants. He will oversee the culinary programs at Restaurant 85 and Cabin.

Ladouceur graduated from The Sommelier Guild in Toronto in 2004 and is currently pursuing his Master Sommelier designation, a title claimed by only three others in Canada. He previously worked as a sommelier and food and beverage manager at Toronto’s Granite Club and Spoke Club.

“Corey’s rich experience is going to be a tremendous asset to all our establishments,” said John Paul Adamo, president and owner of Hockley Valley Resort. “With Cabin set to open this week, Corey will play a key role in defining the guest experience.”

Cabin, which will feature food from chefs Alex Johnston and Michael Potters, is set to open at the resort Dec. 24.
