QUEBEC CITY — Hilton Quebec and Le Pignon Bleu have debuted the first edition of the “Life-Size Gingerbread House.”
The 14-ft.-tall gingerbread house, designed by pastry master Jean-Luc Piquemal, will be featured in the lobby of the hotel during the holidays to raise funds for Le Pignon Bleu — a leader in the fight against poverty in the Quebec-City region.
Guests and locals are invited to make a donation to be entered to win a two-night hotel stay. All funds raised will be donated to Le Pignon Bleu to support a multitude of services to children, families and unemployed people in the city.
“Hilton is not just a hotel brand. Supporting the community and environment are living values in the company. That’s why Hilton Quebec chose to support Le Pignon Bleu in 2017 and, since then, we have been looking for an original and different way of promoting the organization,” says Alain Leblanc, director of Operations at Hilton Quebec. “What better way than a life-sized gingerbread house in the hotel lobby during one of the busiest times of the year in Quebec City? We hope those young and old will come out in great numbers to come and admire this first edition of the house and make a donation to this organization that makes a difference in our community.”
