OTTAWA — Hard Rock International is opening its Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa on July 3. The new hotel is located in the National Capital Region and is set to become Canada’s first fully integrated Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
The property will feature 150 guestrooms, including 22 luxury suites. It will also offer a comprehensive entertainment and gaming experience more than 150,000 sq. ft., including 1,500 slot machines, up to 40 table games and a high-limit gaming area. Dining options include 10 restaurants and bars, including the Hard Rock Cafe and the Council Oak Steaks & Seafood.
Additionally, the property will house a Hard Rock Live entertainment space with a capacity of 2,200, which will host Canadian entertainers during the grand opening week.
The construction of the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is nearing completion. In the interim, the existing Rideau Carleton Casino continues to operate on the site. Post-opening, renovations will commence on the original building with an expected full completion by the end of 2025. This will expand the gaming areas and dining facilities.
The project is anticipated to create 700 local jobs and aims to significantly contribute to the local economy. It will also engage in community initiatives through partnerships with non-profit organizations and local sponsorships.
