OTTAWA — The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) received an Award of Distinction – Excellence from the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) for its advocacy work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the course of the pandemic, HAC secured more than $11 billion in financial relief for the tourism industry through seven campaigns involving research-based proposals, media work, committee appearances, letters, social-media outreach, meetings with government and partnerships with other associations.

“I would like to thank our incredible team, our board of directors and our provincial and city partners who worked alongside us in this fight for your survival,” says Susie Grynol, president and CEO of HAC. “I also want to thank you, our members, for your resilience and unfettered support.”
