OTTAWA — The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has launched an enhanced health-and-safety protocol to help Canadian hotels prepare for the new normal in the COVID-19 era.

The guidelines — Safe Stay — were developed in partnership with the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA). Developed in accordance with recommended health practices from the Public Health Agency of Canada, Safe Stay provides enhanced cleaning-and-safety protocols that can be implemented in the hotel environment to keep both guests and employees safe.

HAC is encouraging its members to endorse the Safe-Stay initiative and integrate its protocols into their hotels as the economy begins to reopen. More information and access to the resource is available at hacsafestay.com.
