OTTAWA — The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has announced its 2012 Hall of Fame Award of Excellence winners. The recipients include Kris Crundwell, Pacrim Hospitality Services in the humanitarian category; The Holiday Inn, Cambridge in the human resources category; and the Westin Ottawa in the energy and environment category.

“The goal of HAC’s awards program is to reward strong standards in the industry that will enable Canada to remain competitive,” said Tony Pollard, HAC president.

The HAC Hall of Fame Awards recognize association members — individuals, companies or properties — that have demonstrated significant accomplishments, exemplary leadership and a commitment to Canada’s lodging industry. “We are pleased to honour the 2012 winners, whom we feel represent some of the finest examples of professionalism, quality and excellence,” said Pollard.

The HAC Hall of Fame Awards of Excellence will be presented Feb. 4 at the association’s centennial anniversary dinner to be held at the Hilton Toronto Hotel. The awards dinner will also feature 100 years of memories and key milestones in the evolution of the HAC and the Canadian lodging industry.
