MONTREAL — Group Germain Hotels recently celebrated the opening of its 16th property — Le Germain Hotel Ottawa. The hotel is also the company’s second property in Ottawa, following the 2016 opening of the Alt Hotel Ottawa.

Designed by LemayMichaud Architecture & Design, the hotel features 115 rooms and suites, nearly 2,500 sq. ft. of meeting space and on-site restaurant Norca — which pays tribute to Canadian cuisine by cooking exclusively with Canadian ingredients.

Le Germain Hotel Ottawa is integrated into a mixed-use building that is part of the Ottawa Art Gallery Expansion and Arts Court Redevelopment. The building also houses the ArtHaus private residences. The hotel is within walking distance of Parliament Hill, ByWard Market, the Rideau Canal, the Convention Centre and many other attractions in the city centre.

“Ottawa’s distinct tourism and the number of visitors to the city make it a prime location for our new Le Germain Hotel,” says Christiane Germain, co-president and co-founder, Group Germain Hotels. “We are pleased to now offer our two banners to business and leisure travellers in the nation’s capital.”
