MONTREAL — Group Germain Hotels has announced several new appointments within the company.

Monique Strouvens joined Group Germain this winter as vice-president of Sales and Marketing. Strouvens boasts 30 years of hotel industry experience and oversees all promotion, sales, distribution and marketing activities in order to maximize the company’s growth in the market.

Christina Baldassare has taken on the role of Marketing director and will oversee advertising campaigns and the design of various promotional tools. As a seasoned marketing manager, Baldassare offers expertise in business development, communication, marketing, media creativity and event organization.

Marie Pier Germain has been promoted to director of Operations. She has been an active member of the family business since 2006 and most recently helmed Alt Hotel Montreal as its general manager. Today, as director of Operations, Germain manages the company’s properties located in the greater Montreal region in addition to overseeing the design and architecture of hotels under construction.

Julie Brisebois has stepped into the role of general manager at Alt Hotel Montreal. She began her career at Le Germain Hotel Montreal before taking over as GM of Alt Hotel Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Que. and then as GM of Alt Hotel Montreal when the hotel opened its doors in 2014. In 2016, Julie set out to Ottawa in order to manage the opening of the brand new Alt Hotel, ensuring the general management was in good hands.

Jean Philip Dupré has been named general manager of Alt Hotel Ottawa. He joined Group Germain Hotels in 2015 as director of Housekeeping at Alt Hotel Winnipeg and has since held positions as director of Rooms, Alt Hotel Winnipeg; director of Operations, Alt Hotel Ottawa; and Business Development manager at Alt Hotel Winnipeg. Upon taking the helm of Alt Hotel Ottawa in April, the 27-year-old became Group Germain’s youngest general manager.
