MONTREAL — Germain Hotels has announced leadership transitions at its Le Germain properties in Toronto and Montreal. Paul de La Durantaye is now general manager of Le Germain Hotel Montreal, Nicolas Lazarou is now general manager at Le Germain Hotel Toronto Maple Leaf Square, and Jean-Philip Dupré returns to Germain Hotels as general manager of Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer.
de La Durantaye has been a valued member of the Germain Hotels family for more than 15 years, including 14 years as general manager of Le Germain Hotel Toronto Maple Leaf Square. In his new role, he will take on the responsibilities of regional director for the Greater Montreal Area, in addition to overseeing the hotels in Ontario. Originally from the Ottawa region, this will mark his first professional experience in Montreal.
Lazarou takes the reins as general manager of Le Germain Hotel Toronto Maple Leaf Square. He began his journey with Germain Hotels in 2012 during the opening of Alt Hotel Toronto Airport, and for more than a decade, he successfully led Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer.
Lastly, Le Germain Hotel Toronto Mercer welcomes Dupré as its general manager, marking his return to Germain Hotels. He previously worked at Alt Hotel Winnipeg, Alt Hotel Ottawa and Escad Quartier DIX30 from 2015 to 2022, serving as general manager for the latter two properties.
