TORONTO — Gaviota Tourism Group has announced a slate of projects and hotel openings in Cuba through 2025. The company represents international hotel chains such as AccorHotels, MGM Muthu Hotels and Blue Diamond Resorts.

The company, which recently opened the 321-room Iberostar Grand Hotel Packard in Havana, has announced plans to renovate five hotels, open new properties and have a total of 7,000 new hotel rooms before 2025 to keep up with the growing needs of travellers to Cuba.

Gaviota Tourism Group is a leading operator in Cuba’s tourism and development, involved in the country’s growing hotel industry. The company represents more than half of Cuba’s hotel properties and achieved a 12-per-cent annual growth rate in accommodation capacity. By the end of this year, Gaviota properties will incorporate 36,200 new and redesigned rooms across 93 locations.
