MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Digital hotel marketing agency, Fuel, has partnered with TripAdvisor to offer clients the Instant Booking tool, which allows travellers to make direct hotel reservations from the TripAdvisor website. Fuel gathers rates and inventory from a hotel’s property management system, delivers the information to TripAdvisor and sends reservation information from TripAdvisor back to the property. Since guests are booking directly through the property’s PMS, hoteliers can obtain all guest information through TripAdvisor’s Instant Booking.

The commission rate for the service is only 12 per cen, compared to the 15 to 20 per cent OTAs typically charge hotels.

“TripAdvisor’s Instant Booking gives individual hotels an unprecedented ability to drive direct bookings through a performance-based program,” says Stuart Butler, CEO of Fuel. “When hotels partner with us, we are able to help them take back lost revenue by not only introducing direct booking capabilitie, but also by developing customized marketing plans to maximize repeat business and increase customer loyalty.”
