TORONTO — On Sept. 22, 2024, Frenchy Bar et Brasserie will unveil its newest Sunday tradition — afternoon tea. Nestled in the lobby of Hilton Toronto, the newly crafted menu and afternoon tea experience, helmed by executive chef Aaron Chen and his pastry team, is designed to elevate Sundays with a blend of refinement, relaxation and indulgence.

The menu features classic tea sandwiches such as smoked salmon and cucumber with cream cheese, and Frenchy’s own creations, including Fromage et Poivre and Wild Mushroom with Truffle Aioli. Scones served with clotted cream and seasonal house-made preserves are also available. Additional pastries and sweets include the Opera Cake, Classic Éclairs, and Cassis Choux Choux. Kid-friendly menu items include Nutella and strawberry preserve sandwiches and s’mores brownie bites.

Complementing the fare is a selection of luxury teas from TEALEAVES. Frenchy also offers selections from Dammann Frères. Highlights include Amour by TEALEAVES, a blend of rose, cocoa and bergamot with a touch of blue cornflower, pairing well with the Opera Cake, and Nuit à Versailles by Dammann Frères combining green Sencha with bergamot, making it an ideal match for the savoury flavours of Quiche Lorraine. Guests can also enjoy a glass of bubbles or a hand-crafted cocktail, including the signature French 75, featuring Tanqueray gin, hibiscus, lemon and a splash of champagne.

“When designing our inaugural afternoon tea menu, our goal was to honour the elegance of this cherished tradition while carefully curating the experience to make it quintessentially Fenchy,” says Chen. “We want our guests to immerse themselves in the timeless charm of afternoon tea and Frenchy’s unique blend of sophistication and playful defiance.”

Afternoon team is available every Sunday for $85 per person and $35 per child, beginning Sept. 22, 2024.
