OTTAWA — Four new hotels are coming to Ottawa over the next three years, including AC by Marriott, Moxy, Renaissance, and Hard Rock Hotel.
The AC Marriott Ottawa is scheduled to open its doors in autumn 2024. The hotel will offer 159 guestrooms and five meeting rooms totalling 3,648 sq. ft., with floor-to-ceiling windows, lounges and exterior space.
Moxy Ottawa will follow, set to open in spring 2025, featuring 244 guestrooms. Both hotels will be located in the Byward Market, which is walking distance from the Rideau Centre and the University of Ottawa.
The Hard Rock Hotel Ottawa is scheduled to open later in 2025, bringing 150 guestrooms, 22 suites and an 1,800-seat theatre with standing capacity of 2,200 to the city. The hotel will also have a casino, restaurants, bars, and lounges.
Lastly, the Renaissance Ottawa will open in 2027 in downtown Ottawa. The hotel will be equipped with 230 guestrooms and 6,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
“Ottawa has, in recent years, solidified its position as a premier destination for conferences and events,” says Lesley Pincombe, Ottawa Tourism’s VP of Business and Major Events. “The addition of these four hotels will not only ramp up our city’s accommodation offering but also provide state-of-the-art venues capable of hosting large numbers of delegates in style and comfort.”
