WINNIPEG — Fortis Properties Corp. has announced plans to convert the former Greenwood Inn and Suites Winnipeg to the Best Western Plus Winnipeg Airport hotel.

“As a growth-oriented company, we are pleased to bring this investment to fruition and see our tremendous team of employees in Winnipeg achieve this significant milestone,” said Aodhan Sheahan, director of Hospitality – Western Region. “This is our second hotel that operates under the Best Western Plus brand, and it is exciting to take another step forward in our efforts to provide great hotels and service to our customers across Canada.”

Property improvements began in August and final renovations are expected to be completed by the end of year in a conversion that will cost approximately $3.1 million in renovations and upgrades.

The hotel features 213 guestrooms as well as 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
