VANCOUVER — The former Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver is set to re-open under a new hotel brand, Paradox Hotel Vancouver, on April 1. The re-opening will provide additional room capacity for the city ahead of the anticipated strong re-start of tourism this spring.

The 147-room luxury hotel is now accepting online bookings, with rates starting at $239 per night. It boasts an upscale gym and spa, outdoor jacuzzi, indoor lounge with a pool and upscale Chinese restaurant, Mott 22, which re-opened last fall after a prolonged closure.

Paradox is a new international hotel brand owned by Malaysian-based TA Global Berhad, which owns the Vancouver tower. Local developer Holborn Group is the business unit for its development activity in Canada. Other hotel properties under the Paradox name now include Holborn’s Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel and Aava Whistler Hotel in Whistler Village, as well as Paradox Phuket Resort in Thailand and Paradox Singapore Merchant Court.
