VANCOUVER — Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver Hotel has named Randall Z. Williams as its new general manager, effective Sept. 3, 2024. He most recently served as general manager of Fairmont Vancouver Airport.
Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., Williams began his hospitality journey at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia in 1999, where he participated in the Management Development Program. Over the years, he advanced through various food and beverage operational roles, eventually becoming the Resort Operations manager.
In 2006, Williams took on his first general manager role and has since held progressive leadership roles overseeing midscale to luxury hotels and resorts across the U.S., including properties under the Wyndham, Hyatt and 21c Museum Hotel brands.
He joined Fairmont Vancouver Airport as general manager in 2022 and led the team to continued success, maintaining the hotel’s status as North America’s number-1 Airport Hotel by Skytrax for nine-consecutive years.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Williams has been an integral member of Accor’s leadership team and within the communities where he has lived and worked. He held the Chair and Co-Chair positions on Accor’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the North & Central America region from 2020 to 2022.
