VANCOUVER — Michael J. Pye is the new general manager of Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
As general manager of the luxury 556-room hotel, Pye will oversee an exciting $12-million lobby renovation that will be completed for the hotel’s 75th anniversary in the fall of 2014.
Pye has more than 17 years of hotel experience and has held a series of progressive roles with Fairmont Hotels including the Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton, Waterfront in Vancouver and the Southampton in Bermuda. He was promoted to general manager at the Fairmont Winnipeg in 2010 and has previously served as the GM of the Fairmont Winnipeg.
