VANCOUVER — Executive Hotels and Resorts has expanded its Executive Hotel Le Soleil brand to the Big Apple, with the construction of the flagship Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York.
“The luxurious Executive Hotel Le Soleil New York should prove to be popular amongst our large corporate and leisure travel base. We purchased this site approximately two years ago, and, given the current strength of the Canadian dollar and the strengthening U.S. economy, in particular the New York market, we felt it was the right time to build,” said Salim Sayani, president of the Executive Group.
The 163-room boutique luxury hotel, located in mid-town Manhattan, will be a more contemporary version of the Vancouver-based Le Soleil Hotel, featuring European boutique design as well as a glass-encased modern tower. It will also offer a lobby espresso and cocktail bar, meeting rooms, a rooftop penthouse and a restaurant. The property is expected to open in late 2014.
