SHROPSHIRE, England — Former Judas Priest rocker, K.K. Downing, may have quit the band last year, but he’s not taking it easy, as he recently announced plans to build a hotel and leisure complex on the grounds of his home in Shropshire, England, according to the Shropshire Star.
“I am speaking to various corporations about investment, and I’m optimistic we can start pushing through with the plans for development this year,” the Grammy-winning guitarist told the Shropshire Star. “I’m 60 years old now, so I really want to get things completed — that’s always been the endgame.”
The proposal for the hotel and leisure site is said to include a 63-room hotel, an indoor swimming pool, a spa and a restaurant. The plan is to attract top golfers to the property, which also houses a golf course.
