TORONTO — Easton’s Group of Hotels will be building Canada’s first Curio by Hilton near Toronto’s Distillery District. Construction is expected to begin mid-2022.

The new full-service 31-storey hotel will feature 392 guestrooms, as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant. Other features and amenities will include: ballrooms and conference spaces, spa and gym, main-floor lobby, lounge and restaurant, five underground levels (four reserved for parking) and innovative loading dock. The hotel’s design will be led by IBI Architects, ERA Heritage Architects and Studio Munge.

“We’re thrilled to bring Curio by Hilton to Canada, supporting the Distillery District as a vibrant community and tourist destination that is highly in need of hotel accommodations,” says Dr. Steve Gupta, founder and chairman of The Gupta Group. “Working with an immensely talented team of architects and designers, Easton’s Group of Hotels will restore this historic building and transform it into a cherished landmark, celebrating its prolific history while leaving a legacy for decades to come.”
