MCLEAN, Va. — DoubleTree by Hilton has opened the brand’s first property on Vancouver Island—DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria. Previously the Executive House Hotel, this 181-room property owned by Executive House Ltd. and managed by Mairet Consulting and Management Ltd. underwent a multi-million dollar renovation — including a complete redesign of the lobby, public spaces and guest rooms.

“DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria is a true icon in the city thanks to its exceptional location,” says Francis Mairet, principal, Mairet Consulting and Management. “Given the demand on our market, the hotel has been redesigned to ideally suit Hilton’s corporate and leisure travellers, while also putting thought into the design to specifically accommodate families, as well. Our vision was to bring the hotel to the forefront of hospitality in Victoria, and with our owners’ input, we were able to deliver on this vision.”

The 19-storey hotel, located directly across from the Victoria Conference Centre, offers 89 suites, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness centre with all new equipment, Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour connectivity centre located in the lobby. As well, as part of the hotel’s comprehensive renovation, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria reopens its restaurant, Bartholomew’s English-Style Pub.
