VANCOUVER — Destination Canada and Travel Gay Canada signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the two organization to work towards strengthening the promotion of the LGBTQ2 tourism industry in Canada.

“I was proud to announce Government of Canada support for Travel Gay Canada earlier this year and I am happy to see that Destination Canada and Travel Gay Canada will also be working closely to further develop and promote Canada’s diverse and inclusive tourism industry,” says the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism.

“LGBTQ2 tourism presents a great opportunity for Canada to be positioned as the first choice for travellers,” says Colin Sines, Travel Gay Canada’s executive director.

Destination Canada and Travel Gay Canada will work together to promote experiences for international LGBTQ2 travellers exploring Canada, while also sharing research and information to grow Canadian tourism.
